EARL NORMAN
President
Earl brings over 32 years of unparalleled expertise in project management, estimation, and service technician roles, specializing in the heavy industrial, chemical, and manufacturing sectors. His extensive, hands-on experience is showcased through his pivotal roles in high-profile projects, including Gibbs Middle School, Resort at Governor’s Crossing, Arconic, Iatric, and Heraeus Precious Metals, among numerous others.

DAVID BARNES
Vice President
David boasts over 38 years of comprehensive expertise in industrial project service and support, with extensive hands-on experience across manufacturing facilities in North and South America. His expertise shines in electrical projects for plant management and engineering, offering emergency support for plant maintenance departments, along with power distribution and electrical controls setup and troubleshooting. Having contributed to every facet of the industrial realm, David eagerly anticipates engaging in future projects.

SHANE PATTERSON
Vice President
Shane's career began in 2003 as an apprentice with a local electrical company, where he completed a 4-year NCCER program, advancing swiftly to warehouse manager and then to safety expert. Joining Funderburk in 2009, he transitioned into project management by 2012, leading a range of projects from industrial installations and lighting upgrades to theme park rollercoasters. Specializing in custom building projects across the electrical industry, Shane has built a strong team of electricians and established solid vendor partnerships, positioning himself to adeptly tackle any client challenge with expertise.

SCOTT SEATON
Vice President
Scott, joined Funderburk Electrical Services in January 2020, bringing with him a vast array of experience, including an AS degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Level I IR thermography certification, and numerous low voltage and fiber optic certifications. Since starting in the electrical trade in 1994, he has specialized in low voltage systems—ranging from fire alarms to fiber optics—and has extensive experience with process control systems and electrical power installations in industrial settings, working on projects for UPS, JFG, and others. In management since 2002, Scott is committed to leveraging his expertise for the Funderburk team.

CHUCK DENYER
Vice President | Senior Estimator
Chuck's journey in the electrical field spans over 35 years, with a focus on industrial and commercial construction, including 15 years dedicated to estimating. Specializing in both commercial and industrial electrical estimating, his expertise encompasses comprehensive work with low voltage power systems, high voltage industrial power systems, and communication data. Beginning his career as an apprentice, Chuck has held every title in the electrical field, culminating in his current role as the lead estimator at Funderburk.

DON OGLE
ACE President Emeritus | Consultant
Don's 45-year journey in the Electrical Industry began as an apprentice, evolving through roles such as journeyman, foreman, and project manager across diverse sectors including commercial and residential projects. He holds an Electrical Master Contractors License in Kentucky and Tennessee and is committed to the advancement of trade education. In 1985, Don founded ACE Electric Service Company, which merged with the Funderburk organization in 2019.

MATT OGLE
ACE President
Matt's 20-plus-year career highlights his experience in both commercial and residential construction and services. His comprehensive training and array of certifications demonstrate his expertise. He successfully completed a 4-year electrical apprenticeship and earned certifications in Generac and Eaton Generator sales and service. Additionally, Matt is skilled in Accubid electrical estimating and Tesla electric car charger installations. He also holds an OSHA 30 safety certification and has honed his project management skills.

JEFF SMITH
Safety Director
Jeff came aboard the Funderburk team in January 2020, leveraging 24 years of diverse experience in the electrical trades. His career has spanned residential, commercial, and industrial construction, alongside comprehensive service work. With expertise in troubleshooting, inspecting electrical systems, and applying the National Electrical Code, Jeff steps into the role of safety director, committed to upholding and enhancing Funderburk's reputation as a leader in electrical contracting safety.

MARK ROUSE
Director of Continuing Education | Master Trainer | Project Manager
Mark has built strong, lasting professional relationships with prominent clients, including Elavon, Ripley’s Entertainment Group, Tate & Lyle, WVLT, and Heraeus Metal Processing, over a period extending beyond 15 years. With more than 25 years in the electrical industry, he has worked with and developed some of East Tennessee's best electricians. Noticing the need for skilled training, Mark obtained his master trainer certification in June 2005 and has been teaching and mentoring apprentices in Funderburk’s certified in-house apprenticeship program, in alignment with the US Department of Labor and the NCCER.
