Earl Norman
Earl Norman
President
Earl has more than 32 years of project management estimator and service technician experience. He has broad hands-on experience in heavy industrial, chemical, and manufacturing projects. His 22 years of estimator and project management experience includes the Gibbs Middle School, Resort at Governor’s Crossing, Arconic, Iatric and Heraeus Precious Metals along with many others.
David Barnes
David Barnes
Vice President
David has more than 38 years of experience in industrial project service and support. He has broad hands-on experience in industrial manufacturing facilities through-out North and South America. His strengths are in electrical projects for plant management and engineering, emergency support for plant maintenance departments, and power distribution and electrical controls setup and troubleshooting. David has been involved in every area in the industrial world and looks forward to future projects.

Shane started out in 2003 with a local electrical company as an apprentice and completed 4 years of the program through the NCCER. From there, he progressed into the warehouse manager and furthered his knowledge into the safety field. Shane started with Funderburk in 2009 holding the safety position for several years. In 2012, he received an opportunity to move into a project management role and successfully performed several different projects around the area. Since then, Shane has focused solely on custom building projects; varying widely from industrial line installations, lighting upgrades, rollercoaster’s (theme park) as well as marine power, and grounding along with many other aspects of the electrical industry. Over his career, he has developed an elite group of electricians, partnered with the right vendors, and aligned himself to accept any challenge for his client and customers.
Chuck Denyer

Vice President | Senior Estimator
Chuck has had more than 35 years of electrical experience in industrial and commercial construction with 15 years in estimating. He specializes in commercial and industrial electrical estimating. Chuck’s experience includes extensive work in low voltage power systems and high voltage industrial power systems along with communication data. He started as an apprentice and has held every title in the electrical field. He is now the head estimator at Funderburk.

Betty has over 35 years of experience in Accounting, HR, and office management. She attended Draughon’s Business College, Tennessee State Vocational, and received her Accounting Degree from National Business College. Betty has worked in the electrical contracting business for over 25 years and has developed a thorough working knowledge of accounting and financial management practices in the electrical service, general contracting, and construction industries.
Don Ogle

ACE President Emeritus | Consultant
Don has 45 years of experience in the Electrical Industry. Don started as an apprentice electrician and worked his way into becoming a journeyman electrician, foreman electrician, project manager for new construction, renovations, electrical service/trouble shooting, commercial, retail, and residential field experience. He has an Electrical Master Contractors License Class CE in Kentucky and Tennessee. He has served on many committees to help further the education of the trades to students and continues to further his own education in the electrical industry. Don started ACE Electric Service Company in 1985 and became a part of the Funderburk organization in 2019.

Shane has 12 years of experience in the electrical industry. He his 4-year apprenticeship program and graduated at the top of his class. He is certified in Generac generator repair, maintenance, and installation. Shane is also a certified Tesla installer.

Matt has 21 years of experience in commercial and residential construction and service. His training and certifications include; 4-year electrical apprenticeship, Generac and Eaton Generator certified sales and service, Accubid electrical estimating, Tesla electric Car Charger installation, OSHA 30, and Project Management.
Nathan Blair

Electrical Engineer | Estimator
Nathan started in 2000 with a local contractor and has worked his way up through the trade. He has held titles of Apprentice, Lead Man, Project Foreman, Service Technician, Project Manager, and Industrial Site Superintendent. Nathan started with the team at Funderburk in 2012 and has experience in voice/data structured cabling, underground site utilities, new construction, renovations, electrical service, production line installs, instrumentation in the commercial and industrial facilities. His experience also includes overseeing and preparation of million dollar plus electrical Industrial construction projects. He also holds a Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and he is a qualified instructor for the company’s (NCCER) National Center for Construction Education and Research Apprentice Program. He currently serves as an estimator and looks forward in helping and working with customers.

Director of Continuing Education | Master Trainer | Project Manager
Mark has been in the electrical industry for more than 25 years and during this time, he has worked with and trained some of the finest electricians in the East Tennessee Area. Mark has had the privilege of working closely with many customers for 15 plus years and built great professional relationships. Some of those customers include Elavon, Ripley’s Entertainment Group, Tate & Lyle, WVLT, and Hereaus Metal Processing. While working in this industry, Mark saw a need for training the next generation of electricians, so he obtained his master trainer certification in June of 2005. Ever since, he has been teaching and training apprentices through Funderburk’s in-house apprenticeship program certified through the US Department of Labor and the NCCER.
Scott Seaton
Scott Seaton
Vice President
Scott joined the team in January 2020 and brings a great deal of experience to Funderburk Electrical Services. He has an AS degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, a Level I certification in IR thermography, and many other low voltage and fiber optic certificates. Scott has been in the electrical trade since 1994 and started in the field specializing in low voltage systems like fire alarm, nurse call, voice/data structured cabling, intercom, CCTV and fiber optics. He also has many years of installing process controls systems as well as electrical power in various industrial plants. Ex. UPS, JFG, Merita Bread, Conagra, etc. Scott have been in a management roll since 2002 and looks forward to working with the Funderburk Team.

Safety Director
Jeff joined the Funderburk team in January 2020 after spending 6 years as a City of Knoxville Electrical Inspector. He has 24 years of experience in the electrical trades and has worked in many different roles. Jeff has worked heavily in residential, commercial, and industrial construction as well as all types of service work. He also has a wide range of experience with troubleshooting electrical systems, examining electrical systems, and the ability to apply the National Electrical Code to all during all installation. Jeff will serve as the safety director for the entire Funderburk company and looks forward to making sure Funderburk continues to be the safest industry leader in electrical contracting.

Project Manager
Amanda has over 10 years’ experience in the electrical contracting business, accounting, purchasing, and currently serving as an Assistant Project Manager. Her current role includes purchase materials and equipment for all contract work, maintaining contracts, budgets, and invoicing, as well as pricing change orders. She is the service manager for the Tanger Five Oaks property in Sevierville for all electrical needs. Amanda graduated from King University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Claudette joined our team in 2019 with over 25 years of experience in the electrical contracting business. She has a strong background in the service aspect of our business along with accounting and office management. Claudette is working as the Office Manager and looking forward to many more years with our growing company.

Project Assistant
Gena joined the Funderburk family in August 2020. She has 6 years of experience in the electrical contracting business and a strong background in service, office management, and accounting. Gena is currently assisting all project managers and field employees in the Industrial and Service departments.

Brandon joined our team in June and has immediately been a great addition! Brandon has a decade of experience in commercial and residential construction He has many strengths but strongly succeeds in troubleshooting electrical problems and fixing them. He completed his 4-year apprenticeship program at the top of his class with an impressive 99.8% average. Brandon heads up our service division and is excited to continue bringing the industry leading quality of work we provide to our customers.

Scott is a recent addition to the Funderburk team. He has been in the electric field for 30 years as an electrician, estimator, and project manager. He brings with him a variety of experience in the residential construction and design market, commercial building, facility maintenance, and service industry.
