The University of Tennessee
Glocker Business Renovation

Glocker is a 175,000 square foot, $55 million state of the art College of Business facility built for the University of Tennessee on the flagship Knoxville, TN campus. Funderburk, the chosen electrical contractor, began the project in December 2005.

In addition Funderburk worked closely with Waveguide Consulting Engineers and Baker Audio from Atlanta Georgia to provide the infrastructure for a complete Audio Visual system.
These classrooms are capable of being included in A/V from other rooms in the facility and are capable of broadcasting to the rest of the facility and/or to the Internet live, or recorded in either direction. The lighting controls are integrated into the A/V systems by joint effort of Atlas Electric and Baker Audio giving the Owner touch screen controls at the Podiums. These are truly magnificent features, which are rarely scene in today’s market or universities.
The technological improvements and the aesthetics of the overall electrical design could not have been successfully completed without the support and collaboration from all partners involved.
